Paris Vacation Rentals

Paris is an old city full of intrigue with a long history; sitting astride either side of the river Seine it is one of the world’s most popular cities. Many couples decide to take short stay in Paris as it is probably the most romantic city in the world; most people promise to return as so much they wanted to see will have been missed.

This city is also equally well known for its Gothic architecture and markets; plus sights like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and many other places that are havens for tourists, both home grown and international. Traveling around Paris is relatively easy for visitors as well as locals; the underground train system or Metro can take you to anywhere within the city and is simple to use.

You can’t miss the Eiffel Tower, mainly because it’s over three hundred meters high; it can be seen from any point within the city and the superb views just can’t be matched by those looking at it from the ground. Illuminated in the evening, it is one of the most beautiful sights in the entire city; guided tours are available where the patriotic tour guides give you an in depth history and an insight to what it is to be French.

On your Paris trip ensure you add the famous Champs Elysees to your list of places to visit; with shops, cafes, and restaurants littered along the wide pavements, it is a ‘must see’ for every visitor. When you visit this region of the city you will see it is a much more select area; it is also where most of the five star hotels are situated but thankfully hotels tend to be cheaper once you move away from the city center.

This city is also the home to the renowned Louvre Museum; with almost a third of a million exhibits, you will not be able to see everything in one trip. There are enough art exhibits to keep you occupied for more time than your short stay in Paris would allow; with the likes of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa to view in addition to some of the finest collections of art in the world. Paris has attracted world famous artists for hundreds of years; chances are that you will have the opportunity to see a number of famous paintings whilst you’re visiting.

Another famous Paris attraction is The Arc de Triomphe which was built within the first decade of the nineteenth century; it provides visitors with a wonderful photo experience because it contains the names of every one of his generals. Many people do not know that an observatory was included in the design which affords great views of the surrounding area; it can be found in Charles de Gaulle Place at the intersection of twelve avenues including the Champs Elysees.

Obviously, these are not the only places to visit; and whilst there are many more worthy examples, those listed here should not be missed. A Paris short stay vacation will probably be best suited as just a taster of the city; the likes of medieval churches, buildings and castles, which it has in abundance, will have to wait until another time.
